Joe Rocket Jacket
By Steven Holmes

Joe Rocket Santa Fe Jacket features free-air™
poly/mesh shell. 1.1mm perforated leather trim. Perforated dual density body
armor. Perforated dual density spine pad. Sure Fit™ adjustable waistband. 8"
zipper for pant attachment. Reflective Stripe. Zipper for optional Sahara
Vest or Dry Tech® liner.
It's a shame Joe Rocket
discontinued this jacket, because it is my favorite and most
conferrable summertime jacket.
Or should I say spring and fall jacket. Here in
Florida with our 90 plus degree summer days any
jacket is to HOT. But as soon as the temperatures are a reasonable daytime
high in the lower 80’s
I grab the Joe Rocket Santa Fe
Pluses:
-
Very comfortable with good ventilation
-
Adjustable waist
-
The Dry Tech vest is easy to put in and take out, and if I am headed
north, I bring along a sweatshirt for and the jacket is good down into
the 40’s.
Product weaknesses:
-
The back body armor is big and won’t fold-up to fit in smaller saddle
bags
-
Like any other mesh jacket, I question how good of protection is will
provide at interstate speeds
Overall Opinion: I highly recommend it. Excellent quality
and after three years of use no problems.
